The Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean Sea with their main islands of Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza and Formentera are an all year sailing area. They are under the influence of the Azores´high pressure, a guarantee for predominantly good, in summer even hot weather. It causes thermal effects especially in the big bays.
The many different aspects of Majorca with a coastline of 555km and more than 300 days of sunshine provide the best conditions for a perfect sailing trip. We pass jagged cliffs and old Spanish watch towers, enter into dreamy coves with white sandy beaches and sail along green pinewoods. We drop anchor in romantic coves with possibilities for bathing and snorkelling extensively in their clear turquoise waters.
Although tourism on the Balearic Islands is well developed and they can be quite busy in some places, especially for the sailor there is a lot of unspoilt nature and original charm to be discovered.
